Packing and Prep

I've packed for some big trips before, like moving to college, or a long vacation, however I did not know where to start to tackle packing for a long international trip. I wanted to look nice since I know I will cherish the photos and memories from this trip my whole life. But I also want to pack light, and save room for gifts to bring home.
I looked up a lot of articles online of how to pack, especially for trips like mine where you are going place to place each day and night. Pinterest was very helpful, as they have visuals of how to mix and match pieces you have to work for your wardrobe. Other articles recommended light layers, as you cannot enter some churches or museums without being covered up. I was worried as an Alaska girl that I would not have enough clothes for a warm European summer climate.
What I decided on in the end, was a simple, classic black and white color scheme. Only about 10 pieces, for every day wear. Then some special items I love, and colorful accessories to add some interest.

I packed scarves, necklaces, and pretty shoes to go alone with the neutral colors. I also made sure all the pieces I brought I loved and fit me well.

I limited my make up and hair products to 12 small items to fit into one bag. But I am still bringing 5 tubes of lipstick, sorry, it's just a everyday must for me. I also decided to go against what I read online about curling irons, I want my hair to look nice, and it doesn't take up that much room!
I am also bringing some workout clothes, tennis shoes, and just one swim suit, to keep things light.

As far as electronics go, I will be bringing my phone (airplane mode) laptop, small camera and charges.

I have all my paperwork in order, from One Direction tickets, passport, and German Road Signs.

My final packed suitcase, all prepped for my 2 month trip!
